COMMERCIAL DEEP CYCLE BATTERIES INFORMATION
Catalogue Nos. 810, 812 & 882

Lion Deep Cycle Batteries are industrial batteries and must be handled differently to automotive starting batteries. In battery terms, a cycle means a discharge followed by a charge. All batteries can be cycled a few times, but only specifically designed batteries will survive repeated substantial discharges up to 80% of capacity. Deep Cycle batteries have thicker plates with denser paste applied to increase cycling life.

HANDLING
If purchased Dry-Charged with electrolyte (battery acid) separate, take the following steps.
a) Add electrolyte to battery and leave stand for 24 hours.
b) Then slow charge battery at a maximum rate of 2 amps for 12 to 18 hours.

WARNING
After use it is important to IMMEDIATELY fully recharge deep cycle batteries. Any lead acid battery left even partly discharged causes a chemical action called sulphation, which quickly reduces the working life of the battery.
